Clone RB32439
Isotype Ig
Specificity This MBTPS2 antibody is generated from rabbits immunized with a KLH conjugated synthetic peptide between 14-44 amino acids from the N-terminal region of human MBTPS2.
Predicted Reactivity Cow (Bovine),Mouse (Murine)
Purification This antibody is purified through a protein A column, followed by peptide affinity purification.
Alternative Name MBTPS2 (MBTPS2 Antibody Abstract)
Background This gene encodes a intramembrane zinc metalloprotease, which is essential in development. This protease functions in the signal protein activation involved in sterol control of transcription and the ER stress response. Mutations in this gene have been associated with ichthyosis follicularis with atrichia and photophobia (IFAP syndrome), IFAP syndrome has been quantitatively linked to a reduction in cholesterol homeostasis and ER stress response.
