Immunogen Peptide from C-Terminus of the protein sequence according to NP_004487.2 Genename: FOXA1
Sequence C-GVYSRPVLNTS
Specificity This antibody detects FOXA1. Species Reactivity: Tested: Human, Mouse. Expected from sequence similarity: Rat, Pig, Cow.
Purification Ammonium Sulphate Precipitation followed by Antigen Affinity Chromatography using the immunizing peptide
Alternative Name FOXA1 / TCF3A
Background FOXA1 is a member of the forkhead class of DNA-binding proteins. These hepatocyte nuclear factors are transcriptional activators for liver-specific transcripts such as albumin and transthyretin, and they also interact with chromatin. Similar family members in mice have roles in the regulation of metabolism and in the differentiation of the pancreas and liver.
Alternate names: Forkhead box protein A1, HNF-3-alpha, HNF-3A, HNF3A, Hepatocyte nuclear factor 3-alpha, TCF-3A, Transcription factor 3A
