Immunogen Peptide from the C-Terminus of the protein sequence according to NP_004387.1. Genename: DDX5
Sequence C-PMIGYPMPTG YSQ
Specificity This antibody detects DEAD Box Protein 5 at C-term.
Cross-Reactivity (Details) Species reactivity (expected):Mouse, Rat, Canine.
Species reactivity (tested):Human.
Purification Ammonium Sulphate Precipitation followed by Antigen Affinity Chromatography using the immunizing peptide
Alternative Name DDX5 (DDX5 Antibody Abstract)
Background DDX belongs to the family of DEAD box proteins, characterized by the conserved motif Asp/Glu/Ala/Asp, which are putative RNA helicases. They are implicated in a number of cellular processes involving alteration of RNA secondary structure, such as translation initiation, nuclear and mitochondrial splicing, and ribosome and spliceosome assembly. Based on their distribution patterns some members of this family are believed to be involved in embryogenesis, spermatogenesis, and cellular growth and division.Synonyms: DDX-5, DEAD box protein 5, G17P1, HELR, HLR1, Probable ATP-dependent RNA helicase DDX5, RNA helicase p68
Molecular Weight 69.1 kDa according to NP_004387
Gene ID 1655
NCBI Accession NP_004387
UniProt P17844
Research Area Chromatin and Nuclear Signaling, DNA/RNA
