Description
|
Xyloglucan endotransglucosylases (Xet) are a class of enzymes capable ofcatalyzing the molecular grafting between xyloglucans and/or the endotypehydrolysis of a xyloglucan molecule in plant cell wall. XET protein resides in theprimary cell wall and at least some of the enzyme molecules are covalentlyattached to the xyloglucan and dissociate from it when another xyloglucanmolecule is available to make a new glycosidic bond. The enzyme can be easilyeluted from cell wall with low salt buffers.
