Additional Information

Alternative name Bax
Immunogen BALB/C mice were injected with a synthetic peptide amino acids 3-16 (Cys-GSGEQPRGGGPTSS) of human bax protein.
Format Supernatant (prediluted)
Isotype IgG1  (Matching secondary antibodies)
Clone 2D2
Specificity This antibody recognizes a 211 kD protein identified as bax protein. This antibody is highly specific to bax and does not cross react with bcl-2 alpha or bcl-X protein. This antibody does not cross react with mouse and rat.

Application Details

Application Notes Staining Protocol: We suggest an incubation period of 30 minutes at room temperature. However, depending upon the fixation conditions and the staining system employed, optimal incubation should be determined by the user. Formalin fixed paraffin embedded tissue sections require high temperature antigen unmasking with 10 mM Citrate buffer, pH 6.0 prior to immunostaining. Positive Control: Lymphoma. Cellular localization: Cell membrane, cytoplasm
Concentration 1 to 4 ug/ml
Buffer This antibody has been pretitered and quality controlled to work on formalin-fixed paraffin-embedded as well as acetone fixed cryostat tissue sections. No further titration is required.
Storage Store the antibody at 2-8o c. Do not use it beyond the expiration date stated on the label.
Research Area Apoptosis/Necrosis
Restrictions For Research Use. CE-certified for In Vitro Diagnostics (IVD) Use in the European Union
