Additional Information
| Alternative name | Caspase 9 |
| Immunogen | A synthetic peptide from the middle of human Caspase 9. |
| Format | Ig-fraction, Purified |
| Specificity | This antibody reacts with a 46 - 48 kD protein. Activation of procaspase 9 by Apaf-1 requires proteolytic cleavage to generate the mature Caspase molecule. Once activated, Caspase 9 can initiate a Caspase cascade involving the downstream executioners Caspase 3, 6 and 7. Caspase 9 is essential for apoptosis during the normal development of the central nervous system. |
Application Details
| Application Notes | Titer/Working Dilution: This antibody may be diluted to a titer of 1:50-1:100 in an ABC method. However, depending on the staining conditions employed, we suggest that final dilution should be determined by the user. Staining Protocol: We suggest an incubation period of 30 minutes at room temperature. However, depending upon the fixation conditions and the staining system employed, optimal incubation conditions should be determined by the user. Formalin fixed paraffin embedded tissue sections require high temperature antigen unmasking with 10 mM citrate buffer, pH 6.0 prior to immunostaining. Positive Control: Stomach. Cellular localization: Cytoplasmic |
| Concentration | 100ug/ml approximately |
| Purification | Ig-fraction,Purified |
| Buffer | Purified immunoglobulin fraction of rabbit antiserum against Caspase 9 containing sodium azide as preservative. |
| Storage | Store the antibody at 2-8o c. Do not use it beyond the expiration date stated on the label. |
| Research Area | Apoptosis/Necrosis |
| Restrictions | For Research Use. CE-certified for In Vitro Diagnostics (IVD) Use in the European Union |
