Additional Information
| Alternative name | CD4 |
| Immunogen | Synthetic peptide corresponding to the external domain of CD4 molecule. |
| Format | Ig-fraction (prediluted) |
| Isotype | IgG1 |
| Clone | 1F6 |
| Specificity | This antibody reacts specifically with CD4 cells. CD4 is a single chain transmembrane glycoprotein with a molecular weight of 59 kD. The CD4 antigen is found on a T cell subset (helper/inducer) and also on thymocytes and monocytes. |
Application Details
| Application Notes | Staining Protocol: We suggest an incubation period of 30 to 60 minutes at room temperature or overnight at 40 C. However, depending upon the fixation conditions and the staining system employed, optimal incubation should be determined by the user. High temperature antigen unmasking technique is required for paraffin embedded tissue sections. We recommend using 1mM EDTA pH 8.0 buffer instead of sodium citrate pH 6.0 buffer for antigen unmasking. Positive Control: Tonsil. Cellular localization: Cell membrane |
| Concentration | 1 to 4 ug/ml |
| Purification | Ig-fraction (prediluted) |
| Buffer | This antibody has been pretitered and quality controlled to work on formalin-fixed paraffin-embedded as well as acetone fixed cryostat tissue sections. No further titration is required. |
| Storage | Store the antibody at 2-8o c. Do not use it beyond the expiration date stated on the label. |
| Research Area | CD Antigens |
| Restrictions | For Research Use. CE-certified for In Vitro Diagnostics (IVD) Use in the European Union |
