Additional Information
| Alternative name | CREB Binding Protein |
| Immunogen | BALB/C mice were injected with purified recombinant CREB-binding protein (CBP). |
| Format | Ig-fraction |
| Isotype | IgG1 kappa (Matching secondary antibodies) |
| Clone | AC238 |
| Specificity | This antibody reacts with a 265 kD protein. Protein kinase A (PKA) mediated CREB phosphorylation results in the binding of CREB to CBP (CREB-binding protein). Phosphorylation by PKA enables CREB to serve as a scaffold for CBP, which then activates the process responsible for expression of camp inducible gene. CBP shows substantial homology with p300. This antibody cross reacts with rat. |

Application Details
| Application Notes | Titer/Working Dilution: This antibody may be diluted to a titer of 1:50-1:75 in an ABC method. However, depending on the staining conditions employed, we suggest that final dilution should be determined by the user. Staining Protocol: We suggest an incubation period of 30 minutes at room temperature. However, depending upon the fixation conditions and the staining system employed, optimal incubation should be determined by the end user. Formalin fixed paraffin embedded tissue sections require high temperature antigen unmasking with 10 mM citrate buffer, pH 6.0 prior to immunostaining. Positive Control: Tonsil. Cellular localization: Nuclear |
| Concentration | 100ug/ml approximately |
| Buffer | This antibody is supplied as purified immunoglobulin fraction containing sodium azide as preservative. |
| Storage | Store the antibody at 2-8o c. Do not use it beyond the expiration date stated on the label. |
| Research Area | Transcription Factors |
| Restrictions | For Research Use. CE-certified for In Vitro Diagnostics (IVD) Use in the European Union |
