Additional Information
| Alternative name | Cytokeratin 6 |
| Immunogen | BALB/C mice were injected with a synthetic peptide (GSSTIKYTTTS) from the c- terminus of human cytokeratin 6. |
| Format | Supernatant |
| Isotype | IgG2a (Matching secondary antibodies) |
| Clone | LHK6B |
| Specificity | This antibody is specific to a 56 kD protein, which is identified as cytokeratin 6. Cytokeratin 6 and 16 are expressed in keratinocytes undergoing hyper proliferation. Cytokeratin is found in hair follicles, suprabasal cells of a variety of internal stratified epithelia. Cytokeratin 6 is strongly expressed in about 75% of head and neck squamous cell carcinoma. |
Application Details
| Application Notes | Titer/Working Dilution: This antibody may be diluted to a titer of 1:25-1:75 in an ABC method. However, depending on the staining conditions employed, we suggest that final dilution should be determined by the user. Staining Protocol: We suggest an incubation period of 30 minutes at room temperature. However, depending upon the fixation conditions and the staining system employed, optimal incubation should be determined by the user. Formalin fixed paraffin embedded tissue sections require high temperature antigen unmasking with 10 mM citrate buffer, pH 6.0 prior to immunostaining. Positive Control: Skin. Cellular localization: Cytoplasmic |
| Concentration | 100ug/ml approximately |
| Buffer | This antibody is supplied as purified immunoglobulin fraction containing sodium azide as preservative. |
| Storage | Store the antibody at 2-8o c. Do not use it beyond the expiration date stated on the label. |
| Research Area | Extracellular Matrix |
| Restrictions | For Research Use. CE-certified for In Vitro Diagnostics (IVD) Use in the European Union |
