Additional Information

Alternative name Cytokeratin 8
Immunogen BALB/C mice were immunized with cytoskeletal extract of human hepatocellular carcinoma cell line, Hep3B.
Format Supernatant
Isotype IgM-kappa  (Matching secondary antibodies)
Clone 35bH11
Specificity This antibody recognizes keratin polypeptide of 54 kD. It stains strongly with non-squamous epithelium but does not stain squamous epithelium. It reacts with the sweat gland and ducts in the skin. Adenocarcinomas of the ovary, gastrointestinal tract, ductal carcinoma of breast, pancreas and bile ducts, stain positive with this antibody.

Application Details

Application Notes Titer/Working Dilution: This antibody may be diluted to a titer of 1:10-1:25 in an ABC method. However, depending on the staining conditions employed, we suggest that final dilution should be determined by the user. Staining Protocol: We suggest an incubation period of 30 minutes at room temperature. However, depending upon the fixation conditions and the staining system employed, optimal incubation should be determined by the user. Enzymatic predigestion of paraffin embedded tissues is recommended prior to the immunostaining. Positive Control: Skin. Cellular localization: Cytoplasmic
Concentration 100ug/ml approximately
Buffer This antibody is supplied as tissue culture supernatant containing sodium azide as preservative.
Storage Store the antibody at 2-8o c. Do not use it beyond the expiration date stated on the label.
Research Area Extracellular Matrix
Restrictions For Research Use. CE-certified for In Vitro Diagnostics (IVD) Use in the European Union
