Additional Information

Alternative name Cytokeratin 8 & 18
Immunogen Human breast carcinoma cell line MCF-7.
Format Supernatant (prediluted)
Isotype IgG1 kappa  (Matching secondary antibodies)
Clone 5D3
Specificity This antibody is specific to human cytokeratins 8 (52.5 kD) and 18 (45 kD). This antibody stains simple and glandular epithelium. This antibody can be useful for the identification of adenocarcinomas and most squamous cell carcinomas.

Application Details

Application Notes Staining Protocol: We suggest an incubation period of 30 minutes at room temperature. However, depending upon the fixation conditions and the staining system employed, optimal incubation should be determined by the user. Proteolytic treatment is required prior to immunostaining of formalin fixed paraffin embedded tissue sections. Positive Control: Skin. Cellular localization: Cytoplasmic
Concentration 1 to 4 ug/ml
Buffer This antibody has been pretitered and quality controlled to work on formalin-fixed paraffin-embedded as well as acetone fixed cryostat tissue sections. No further titration is required.
Storage Store the antibody at 2-8o c. Do not use it beyond the expiration date stated on the label.
Research Area Extracellular Matrix
Restrictions For Research Use. CE-certified for In Vitro Diagnostics (IVD) Use in the European Union
