Additional Information

Alternative name Cytokeratin
Immunogen Human keratin isolated from epidermal stratum corneum.
Format Supernatant
Isotype IgG1 kappa  (Matching secondary antibodies)
Clone KL1
Specificity This antibody is specific to 56 kD cytokeratin. Immunoblotting analysis revealed that this antibody reacts with cytokeratin 1, 2, 5, 6, 7, 8, 11, 14, 16, 17 and 18. This antibody stains with neoplastic cells of epithelial origin. Non-epithelial cells and skin basal layers cells do not stain with this antibody.

Application Details

Application Notes Titer/Working Dilution: This antibody may be diluted to a titer of 1:25-1:50 in an ABC method. However, depending on the staining conditions employed, we suggest that final dilution should be determined by the user. Staining Protocol: We suggest an incubation period of 30 minutes at room temperature. However, depending upon the fixation conditions and the staining system employed, optimal incubation should be determined by the user. Proteolytic treatment prior to immunostaining of formalin fixed paraffin embedded tissue sections may enhance staining intensity. Positive Control: Skin. Cellular localization: Cytoplasmic
Concentration 100ug/ml approximately
Buffer This antibody is supplied as purified immunoglobulin fraction containing sodium azide as preservative.
Storage Store the antibody at 2-8o c. Do not use it beyond the expiration date stated on the label.
Research Area Extracellular Matrix
