Additional Information
| Alternative name | Dystrophin |
| Immunogen | BALB/C mice were immunized with acetylcholine receptor enriched membranes and peripheral membrane proteins from Torpedo nobiliana electric organ. |
| Format | Purified |
| Isotype | IgG1 kappa (Matching secondary antibodies) |
| Clone | 1808 |
| Specificity | This antibody with a protein of 427 kD. This antibody is highly specific to dystrophin and shows no cross-reaction with C-protein, alpha-actin and human muscle spectrin. Dystrophin is a member of spectrin/alpha actinin family of actin-binding protein. This antibody cross reacts with mouse, rat, chicken, Xenopus and Torpedo. |

Application Details
| Application Notes | Titer/Working Dilution: This antibody may be diluted to a titer of 1:25-1:50 in an ABC method. However, depending on the staining conditions employed, we suggest that final dilution should be determined by the user. Staining Protocol: We suggest an incubation period of 30 minutes at room temperature. However, depending upon the fixation conditions and the staining system employed, optimal incubation should be determined by the user. Formalin fixed paraffin embedded tissue sections require high temperature antigen unmasking with 1 mM EDTA buffer, pH 8.0 prior to immunostaining. Positive Control: Skeletal muscle. Cellular localization: Cell membrane |
| Concentration | 100ug/ml approximately |
| Buffer | This antibody is supplied as purified ascites containing sodium azide as preservative. |
| Storage | Store the antibody at 2-8o c. Do not use it beyond the expiration date stated on the label. |
| Research Area | Extracellular Matrix, Cytoskeleton |
| Restrictions | For Research Use. CE-certified for In Vitro Diagnostics (IVD) Use in the European Union |
