Additional Information

Alternative name Epithelial Membrane Antigen (EMA)
Immunogen BALB/C mice were immunized with human milk fat globule membranes.
Format Supernatant (prediluted)
Isotype IgG1 kappa  (Matching secondary antibodies)
Clone GP1-4
Specificity This antibody reacts with an antigen of 265-400 kD belonging to a heterogeneous group of heavily glycosylated proteins called human milk fat globule proteins. It stains both normal and neoplastic cells. Among normal epithelia, it reacts strongly with mammary epithelium and glandular epithelia but shows a patchy staining with squamous epithelium.

Application Details

Application Notes Staining Protocol: We suggest an incubation period of 30 minutes at room temperature. However, depending upon the fixation conditions and the staining system employed, optimal incubation should be determined by the user. Enzymatic predigestion of paraffin embedded tissues is not necessary but in some tissues it may enhance the immunostaining. Positive Control: Breast carcinoma. Cellular localization: Cell membrane, cytoplasmic
Concentration 1 to 4 ug/ml
Buffer This antibody has been pretitered and quality controlled to work on formalin-fixed paraffin-embedded as well as acetone fixed cryostat tissue sections. No further titration is required.
Storage Store the antibody at 2-8o c. Do not use it beyond the expiration date stated on the label.
Restrictions For Research Use. CE-certified for In Vitro Diagnostics (IVD) Use in the European Union
