Additional Information

Immunogen Recombinant fusion protein containing sequences of bacterial beta-galactosidase and EBV encoded latent membrane protein.
Format Supernatant (prediluted)
Isotype IgG1  (Matching secondary antibodies)
Clone CS1 CS2 CS3 CS4
Specificity This antibody is specific to 60 kD latent membrane protein (LMP-1) encoded by the BNLF1 gene of the EBV. Each clone reacts with different epitopes on the hydrophilic c-terminus of the cytoplasmic domain of LMP-1. This antibody stains strongly with EBV positive lymphoblastoid cell lines and EBV infected B cell immunoblasts in infectious mononucleosis.

Application Details

Application Notes Staining Protocol: We suggest an incubation period of 30 minutes at room temperature. However, depending upon the fixation conditions and the staining system employed, optimal incubation should be determined by the user. Formalin fixed paraffin embedded tissue sections require high temperature antigen unmasking with 10 mM citrate buffer, pH 6.0 prior to immunostaining. Positive Control: Infected lymphoblastoma. Cellular localization: Cytoplasmic
Concentration 1 to 4 ug/ml
Buffer This antibody has been pretitered and quality controlled to work on formalin-fixed paraffin-embedded as well as acetone fixed cryostat tissue sections. No further titration is required.
Storage Store the antibody at 2-8o c. Do not use it beyond the expiration date stated on the label.
Research Area Virology
Restrictions For Research Use. CE-certified for In Vitro Diagnostics (IVD) Use in the European Union
