Specificity

This antibody reacts with a 160 kD (unreacted dimer) and 80 kD (reduced monomer) protein. Factor XIII is a beta-globulin found in plasma and is composed of two subunits. Factor XIII-A is the catalytic subunit and is a dimmer of M.W. 160 kD. Factor XIII is a dermal dendrocyte marker and shows variable reaction with these types of tumors. Factor XIII can be used for histiocytic phenotyping and has been reported to mark capillary hemangiomas and tumors of the central nervous system.

Application Notes
|
Titer/Working Dilution: This antibody may be diluted to a titer of 1:25-1:50 in an ABC method. However, depending on the staining conditions employed, we suggest that final dilution should be determined by the user. Staining Protocol: We suggest an incubation period of 30 minutes at room temperature. However, depending upon the fixation conditions and the staining system employed, optimal incubation conditions should be determined by the user. Formalin fixed paraffin embedded tissue sections require high temperature antigen unmasking with 10 mM citrate buffer, pH 6.0 prior to immunostaining. Positive Control: Placenta. Cellular localization: Cytoplasmic, nuclear
