Additional Information: Alpha-1 acidic Glycoprotein Biotin (Human) antibody
| Antigen | Alpha-1 acidic Glycoprotein |
| Immunogen | Alpha-1-Acid Glycoprotein [Human Plasma] |
| Reactivity | Human |
| Antibody Type | Polyclonal |
| Host | Rabbit |
| Specificity | This product is an IgG fraction antibody purified from monospecific antiserum by a multi-step process which includes delipidation, salt fractionation and ion exchange chromatography followed by extensive dialysis against the buffer stated above. Assay by immunoelectrophoresis resulted in a single precipitin arc against anti-Biotin, anti-Rabbit Serum as well as purified and partially purified a-1-Acid Glycoprotein [Human Plasma]. Cross reactivity against a-1-Acid Glycoprotein from other sources may occur but has not been specifically determined. |
Application Details: Alpha-1 acidic Glycoprotein Biotin (Human) antibody
| Application | Enzyme Immunoassay (EIA), Western Blotting (WB), Immunoblotting (IB) |
| Application Notes | Immunoblotting, ELISA, immunohistochemistry, immunomicroscopy as well as other antibody based assays using streptavidin or avidin conjugates requiring lot-to-lot consistency. This product has been assayed against 1.0 ug of a-1-Acid Glycoprotein in a standard capture ELISA using Peroxidase Conjugated Streptavidin and ABTS (2,2’-azino-bis-[3-ethylbenthiazoline-6-sulfonic acid]) as a substrate for 30 minutes at room temperature. A working dilution of 1:4,000 to 1:20,000 of the reconstitution concentration is suggested for this product. Optimal titers for other applications should be determined by the researcher. Other applications not tested. |
| Conjugate | Biotin |
| Concentration | 10.0 mg/ml (by UV absorbance at 280 nm) |
| Buffer | This antibody was lyophilised from 0.02 M Potassium Phosphate, 0.15 M Sodium Chloride, pH 7.2 with 0.01% sodium azide as preservative and 10 mg/ml Bovine Serum Albumin (BSA) (IgG and Protease free) as stabilizer. This Ig fraction is conjugated to Biotinam |
| Storage | Store vial at 4° C prior to restoration. Restore with 1.0 ml of deionized water (or equivalent). For extended storage reconstitute product with 50% glycerol instead of water and then aliquot contents and freeze at -20° C or below. Avoid cycles of freezing and thawing. Centrifuge product if not completely clear after standing at room temperature. This product is stable for several weeks at 4° C as an undiluted liquid. Dilute only prior to immediate use. Expiration date is one (1) year from date of restoration. 2Conjugation References: Bayer &,,, Wilchek Methods in Enzymology 184,,, 138-160, 1990. |
