Antigen Alpha-2 Glycoprotein
Immunogen Human alpha-2-HS-Glycoprotein, purified from human serum. >95% pure (SDS-PAGE).
Reactivity Human
Antibody Type Polyclonal
Format Ig Fraction
Host Sheep
Specificity Gives a single arc when tested by IEP and 2D-IEP against human serum. Identity has been confirmed by double diffusion (Ouchterlony) against human serum and a known anti-human alpha-2-HS glycoprotein. The cross-reactivity of this product against the sera of the following species has been assessed by double diffusion, using 10 µl antisera against 2 µl of species sera: Human. Does not cross react with: Bovine, Cat, Chicken, Dog, Goat, Rabbit, Guinea Pig, Horse, Mouse, Pig and Rat. These results are intended as a guideline only. It is possible that cross-reactivity against species listed as negative above may be observed when using different test conditions or techniques

Application Immunodiffusion (ID)
Application Notes Suitable for use in a variety of gel techniques including radial immunodiffusion (RID), double diffusion, and immunoelectrophoresis (IEP). The use of 3 % PEG 6000 with 1.2 % agarose in a suitable buffer (such as TBE or Tris-barbital pH >8.2) is recommended. RID: 5 µl antiserum/cm2 in gel vs 5 µl serum, NT - 1:10. Double Diffusion: 10 µl antiserum vs 2 µl serum IEP: 100 µl antiserum vs 5 µl serum Other applications not tested. Optimal dilutions of this antibody are dependent on conditions and should be determined by the user.
Format Ig Fraction
Concentration 19 mg/ml (OD280nm, E1% = 14.5)
Buffer This antibody is delipidated and if necessary absorbed to monospecificity by use of solid-phase adsorbants. Following adsorption, an immunoglobulin fraction is produced by ion-exchange chromatography. The product is 0.2 µm filtered and supplien in Glycine
Storage Store the antibody undiluted at 4 - 8 °C. Should this product contain a precipitate we recommend microcentrifugation before use. Shelf life: one year from despatch.
Research Area Immunology, Inflammation, Serum/Plasma Proteins
Restrictions For Research Use only
