| Description | CD48 is a 45 kD GPI-anchored glycoprotein, also known as BCM1, Blast-1 (human), or OX-45 (rat). It is a member of the Ig superfamily, expressed on T and B cells, and monocytes/macrophages. It plays a role in adhesion and T cell recognition. The primary ligands for CD48 are CD2 and CD244. The HM48-1 antibody is useful for blocking in vitro and in vivo CD48 mediated interactions Distribution: T and B cells, monocytes/macrophages Function: Adhesion, T cell recognition Synonyms: BCM1, Blast-1 (human), OX-45 (rat) Structure: Ig superfamily, 45 kD |
| Clone | HM48-1 |

Application Details: CD48 Mouse (Murine) antibody
| Application | Flow Cytometry (FACS) |
| Application Notes | Additional reported applications (for the relevant formats) include: immunoprecipitation, costimulation of T cell proliferation, blocking of CD48-CD2 interaction, and inhibition of CTL activity and graft rejection. The LEAF(TM) purified antibody (Endotoxin <0.1 EU/µg, Azide-Free, 0.2 µm sterile-filtered) is recommended for functional assays (ABIN155858). Each lot of this antibody is quality control tested by immunofluorescent staining with flow cytometric analysis. For immunofluorescent staining, the suggested use of this reagent is < 0.5 µg per 10 cells in 100 µl volume. It is recommended that the reagent be titrated for optimal performance for each application. * Pacific Blue(TM) has a maximum emission of 455 nm when it is excited at 405 nm. Prior to using Pacific Blue(TM) conjugate for flow cytometric analysis, please verify your flow cytometer's capability of exciting and detecting the fluorochrome. ** Pacific Blue(TM) is a registered trademark of Molecular Probes, Inc. Pacific Blue(TM) dye antibody conjugates are sold under license from Molecular Probes, Inc. for research use only, except for use in combination with microarrays and high content screening, and are covered by pending and issued patents. |
| Conjugate | Pacific Blue |
| Purification | The antibody was purified by affinity chromatography, and conjugated with Pacific Blue(TM) under optimal conditions. The solution is free of unconjugated Pacific Blue(TM) and unconjugated antibody. |
| Buffer | Phosphate-buffered solution, pH 7.2, containing 0.09% sodium azide. |
| Storage | The antibody solution should be stored undiluted at 4°C and protected from prolonged exposure to light. Do not freeze. |
