| Specificity | ABIN119984 recognises mouse alpha 1 integrin (CD49a). CD49a is a 180kD transmembrane glycoprotein, which associates with the beta 1 intergrin subunit to form the CD49a/CD29 (VLA-1) heterodimer. CD49a is expressed on activated T lymphocytes and at low levels on monocytes. VLA-1 is a receptor for laminin and collagen and plays an important role in regulating adhesion. Clone HM alpha 1 is reported to block VLA-1 dependent adhesion (1). |
