| Description | The cyclin D1 protein belongs to a family of proteins which function primarily in the cell division cycle by regulating the activity of cyclin dependent kinases (cdks). The chromosomal region in which the cyclin D1 gene is located is amplified in a number of cancers. The human cyclin D1 gene has been mapped to the 11q13 locus and has been shown to be the PRAD1 gene product. |

| Application Notes | This antibody has been pretitered and quality controlled to work on formalin-fixed paraffin-embedded as well as acetone fixed cryostat tissue sections. No further titration is required. We suggest an incubation period of 30 minutes at room temperature. However, depending upon the fixation conditions and the staining system employed, optimal incubation should be determined by the user. Formalin fixed paraffin embedded tissue sections require high temperature antigen unmasking with 10 mM citrate buffer, pH 6.0 prior to immunostaining. |
