Description	DAP kinase (DAPK) is a pro-apoptotic calcium-regulated serine/threonine kinase containing death domain. A novel DAP kinase-related protein was recently identified and designated DAPK2 and DRP-1. DAPK has high sequence homology to ZIP kinase and DRAK1/2, and represents a novel family of serine/threonine kinases, which mediates apoptosis through their catalytic activities. Ectopic expression of DAPK2 induces apoptosis in various types of cells.

Specificity	The antibody detects the ~42 kDa DAPK2 in human, mouse, and rat. It has no cross-reactivity to DAPK1. A431 cell lysate can be used as a positive control.
