描述
|
Apoptosis is an important mechanism for discarding damaged, aging or unwanted cellsfrom a particular cellular system. Studies have shown that the 1225-residue DeathAssociated Transcription Factor 1 (DATF1, also known as death inducer-obliterator 1) isupregulated by apoptotic signal proteins. These same studies have demonstrated thatDATF1 is a putative transcription factor that is weakly pro-apoptotic whenoverexpressed in mice.
