| Description | There are four distinct ligase proteins found in mammalian cells. The activity of theseDNA ligases is required for the joining of DNA strand breaks that occur during DNAreplication, repair and recombination. DNA Ligase III gene product migrates as a100kDa (a-form) protein in somatic tissues, is ubiquitously expressed and complexeswith XRCC-1 and a 97kDa (ß-form) protein that is found in testis. DNA Ligase III isinvolved in rejoining DNA single-strand breaks and in the base excision repair pathway. |
| Clone | 6G9 |
| Host | Mouse |
| Specificity | This antibody is specific for DNA ligase III. ABIN151084 reacts with human DNA Ligase III. |
