| Purification | This antibody was produced by antigen dependent affinity chromatography of positive sera subsequently to immunization of NZW rabbits with recombinant GST protein. The purity of antibody fractions was determined by Coomassie staining upon SDS-PAGE. Functional analysis of the purified antibody revealed strong and specific reactivity against recombinant GST-tag proteins by Western Blotting, Immunoprecipitation, ELISA, Flow Cytometry and Immunohistochemistry. Hereby it makes no difference if the GST-tag of the target protein is attached to the N- or the C-terminus. |

Determination of a bacterially expressed GST protein with anti-GST-tag by Western Blot. A protein extract of an E.coli strain expressing the GST protein of Schistosoma japonicum (B) was resolved by SDS-PAGE and subsequently transferred to PVDF membrane. The target protein was determined by antiGST-tag (1µg/ml) followed by Anti-Rabbit-HRP and ECL detection. The bands shown on the left represent a part of the Mark it West ECL protein standard of the MicroMol GmbH with individual bands of 10kD, 20kD, 30kD and 40kD respectively from bottom to the top. |
