| Specificity | This antibody specifically binds to the Histone H1 protein found in nucleosomes of all eukaryotic cells. Differences between H1 subfractions of one species are greater than the differences across species. Cross-reactivity none found with other Histone protein H2a, H2b, H3 or H4. |
Application Details: Histone H1 azide free (Mam) antibody
| Application | Enzyme Immunoassay (EIA), Immunoprecipitation (IP), Western Blotting (WB) |
| Application Notes | Western blot: use at 0.1-1ug/ml with 2ug Histone H1. Immunoprecipitation. ELISA: The neat serum form of anti-histone-1 antibody can be titered to 1:64,000 but best used at 1:4,000 to 1:32,000. The antibody is 6.5 fold more active against histone-I than histone IIb. Other applications not tested. Optimal dilutions of this antibody are dependent on conditions and should be determined by the user. |
| Concentration | 1.21 mg/ml |
| Buffer | This antibody is supplied as Protein G purified (0.22um filtered), liquid Ig fraction in 0.01 M PBS pH 7.2 without preservatives.. |
| Storage | Store the antibody at 4-8°C for one month or at –20°C for longer. Avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Shelf life: one year from despatch. |
