Specificity Human macrophages, also positive on monkey, weak on rabbit, goat, bovine and horse. Negative on rat, guinea pig, cat, and dog. The antigen is found on the cytoplasmic membranes of macrophages. Isolated cells: Positive on peritoneal macrophages and on cultivated macrophages with serum supplementation. Positive in AML but not on blast cells. Negative under serum-free conditions, on freshly isolated monocytes and on fMLP activated neutrophils. U937 cells show increased antigen expression after TNFa and GM-CSF treatment.

Application Immunohistochemistry (Frozen Sections) (IHC (fro))
Application Notes Immunohistochemistry on frozen sections: Approximate working dilution: 2ug/ml (1:100), Fixation: Acetone ( 5 minutes at 4°C). Immunoprecipitation. Other applications not tested. Optimal dilutions of this antibody are dependent on conditions and should be determined by the user.

Buffer This purified antibody was lypophilised from PBS buffer pH 7.4 with 0.01% thimerosal as preservative and 10 mg/ml BSA as stabilizer. Reconstitute in 0.5ml distilled water (= isotonic stock solution).
