| Description | Poly[ADP-ribose] polymerase modifies various nuclear proteins by poly(ADP-ribosyl)ation. The modification is dependent on DNA and is involved in the regulation of various important cellular processes such as differentiation, proliferation, and tumor transformation and also in the regulation of the molecular events involved in the recovery of cell from DNA damage. |
| Clone | A6-4-12 |
| Host | Mouse |
| Specificity | Ab10955 recognises PARP (poly (ADP-ribose) polymerase), a nuclear enzyme that has been shown to be cleaved during apoptosis. |
Application Details: PARP (Human) antibody
| Application | ELISA, Immunohistochemistry ((Frozen Sections) (IHC) (fro)), Immunohistochemistry (Formalin-fixed Sections) (IHC (f)), Immunohistochemistry (Paraffin-embedded Sections) (IHC (p)), Immunoprecipitation (IP), Western Blotting (WB) |
| Application Notes | ELISA: Use at a dilution of 1/1000. IHC-P: Use at an assay dependent dilution. Perform heat mediated antigen retrieval before commencing with IHC staining protocol. Sodium citrate buffer pH6.0 is recommended for this purpose. IHC-Fr: Use at a dilution of 1/10-1/50. IP: Use at a dilution of 1/10. WB: Use at a dilution of 1/500-1/1000. Detects a band of approximately 116 kDa (predicted molecular weight: 121.7 kDa). Not tested in other applications. Optimal dilutions/concentrations should be determined by the end user. |
