| Specificity | This antibody reacts with PGP 9.5 from all mammalian species tested. This includes human, rabbit, mouse, rat, sheep, deer, cow, pig, cat, dog, guinea pig and hamster. It stains neuronal cell bodies and axons in the CNS and periphery, small nerve fibers in peripheral tissues, neuroendocrine cells in the pituitary, thyroid, pancreas and tumors of the DNES. |

| Application Notes | Immunohistochemistry on formalin fixed, paraffin embedded tissues (1:200 - 1:800, Microwaving in citrate buffer may enable the antibody to be used a a higher dilution than those recommended.) Also useful for Western blotting (1/1,000-1/5,000, When tested under reducing conditions on rat brain lysate, this antibody gave a band at 27 kD). Other applications not tested. Optimal dilutions of this antibody are dependent on conditions and should be determined by the user. |
