Description IgY(.Fc)to human alpha-fetoprotein is developed in duck by using purified human AFP as immunogen. The antibody is isolated from egg yolk. The product is supplied as a solution in 20mM MES(2- ( N-Morpholino)ethanesulfonic acid), pH 5.8, containing 0.1% NaN 3 as a preservative.

Specificity A single arc was shown by Immunoelectrophoresis while the antibody was reacting with part-pure alpha-fetoprotein and normal human serum. Similar specific reactions were observed when the antibody was tested by western blot assay.
