Specificity	This antibody recognizes the proto-oncogene c-fos, a 62kD transcription factor implicated in cell growth, differentiation and development. The production of c-fos is rapidly, but transiently, induced by a large number of stimuli. The molecule associates with c-jun to form a hetrodimer, which binds to the AP-1 site in DNA. Reacts with human, mouse and rat c-fos. Other species not tested.

Application	Western Blotting (WB)
Application Notes	Western blot (it detects a band of approximately 55-60kDa in lysates from Hela cells stimulated to express c-fos protein). Other applications not tested. Optimal dilutions of this antibody are dependent on conditions and should be determined by the user.
Concentration	0.1 mg/ml
Buffer	This antibody is supplied as affinity chromatography purified, liquid IgG fraction, in Phosphate buffered saline with 0.09% Sodium Azide as preservative.
Storage	Store the antibody at 4-8°C for one month or at –20°C for longer. Avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Shelf life: one year from despatch.
