Specificity CB11 reacts with the 185 kD protein in immunoblot-ting. The c-erbB2 proto-oncogene codes for a membrane protein. Several studies report the ampli-fication in carcinomas. Overexpression of c-erbB-2 in breast cancer is a marker for poor prognosis.

Application Notes Immunohistochemistry on frozen and paraffin embedded sections (1/5 -1/10, Dilute with PBS with 1% BSA and 0.1% Na-Azide, Incubation time: 1 h at room temperature, No pretreatment required, Positive control: Adeno-carcinoma of the breast). RIA. Western Blot. Other applications not tested. Optimal dilutions of this antibody are dependent on conditions and should be determined by the user.
Buffer This antibody is supplied as liquid, culture supernatant.
Storage Store the antibody at 4-8°C for one month or at –20°C for longer. Avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Shelf life: one year from despatch.
