Specificity Her-4, also known as c-erbB-4 and v-erbB-4, is a Type 1 membrane protein found in numerous cell types. It is a member of the EGF receptor protein family, and is activated by neuregulins and NTAK. Her-4 levels have been found to be elevated in certain human tumor cell lines suggesting that it may play a role in some malignancies. Her-4 is a receptor for heregulin and is capable of mediating HGL-stimulated tyrosine phosphorylation of itself. ABIN121070 detects Her-4 from human and mouse samples.

Application Immunoprecipitation (IP), Immunohistochemistry (Paraffin-embedded Sections) (IHC (p)), Western Blotting (WB)
Application Notes Immunoprecipitation. Immunohistochemistry on paraffin embedded sections (6 – 8 µg/ml, paraffin embedded mouse NIH3T3 cells). Western Blot (3 µg/ml, detects ~185 kDa protein representing Her-4 from human A431 cell and mouse NIH3T3/HER4 cell extracts.). Other applications not tested. Optimal dilutions of this antibody are dependent on conditions and should be determined by the user.

Buffer This antibody is supplied as liquid, protein A purified IgG in PBS with 1 mg/ml BSA and 0.05% sodium azide as preservative.
Storage Store the antibody at -20°C. Avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Shelf life: one year from despatch.
