| Description | T cell receptor (TCR) is a heterodimer consisting of an alpha and a beta chain (TCR alpha/beta) or a gamma and a delta chain (TCR gamma/delta). TCR gamma/delta belongs to the immunoglobulin superfamily, involved in the recognition of certain bacterial and tumor antigens bound to MHC class I. The gamma/delta TCR associates with CD3 and is expressed on a T cell subset found in the thymus, the intestinal epithelium, and the peripheral lymphoid tissues and peritoneum. Most gamma/delta T cells are CD4-/CD8-, some are CD8+. T cells expressing the gamma/delta TCR have been shown to play a role in oral tolerance, tumor-associated tolerance, and autoimmune disease. It has been reported that gamma/delta T cells also play a principal role in antigen presentation. Immobilized UC7-13D5 antibody has been reported to activate gamma/delta TCR-bearing T cells in vitro, and to deplete peripheral gamma/delta TCR-bearing T cells in vivo. Distribution: T subset in thymus, intestinal epithelium, peripheral lymphoid tissues and peritoneum Function: Antigen recognition Synonyms: TCR-gamma/delta, gamma/delta TCR Structure: Ig superfamily, associates with CD3 complex |

| Application | Flow Cytometry (FACS), Immunoprecipitation (IP), Depletion |
| Application Notes | Additional reported applications (for the relevant formats) include: immunoprecipitation, in vitro stimulation and in vivo depletion. The LEAF(TM) purified antibody (Endotoxin <0.1 EU/µg, Azide-Free, 0.2 µm sterile-filtered) is recommended for functional assays (ABIN156261). Each lot of this antibody is quality control tested by immunofluorescent staining with flow cytometric analysis. For immunofluorescent staining, the suggested use of this reagent is < 0.25 µg per 10 cells in 100 µl volume. It is recommended that the reagent be titrated for optimal performance for each application. |
| Conjugate | LEAF |
| Purification | The antibody was purified by affinity chromatography. |
| Buffer | Phosphate-buffered solution, pH 7.2, containing no preservative. 0.2 µm filter sterilized. Endotoxin level is < 0.1 EU/µg of the protein (< 0.01 ng/µg of the protein) as determined by the LAL test. |
| Storage | The antibody solution should be stored undiluted at 4 °C. This LEAF(TM) solution contains no preservative, handle under aseptic conditions. |
