Target Details FADD Application Details Handling References for anti-FADD antibody (ABIN358126) Images
Specificity This antibody detects FADD pSer191.
Purification Protein G Affinity Chromatography. Then, the antibody fraction is peptide affinity purified in a 2-step procedure with control and phosphorylated peptides. The phospho-specific antibody is eluted with high and low pH buffers and neutralized immediately, followed by dialysis against PBS.
Immunogen This antibody is generated from rabbits immunized with a KLH conjugated synthetic phosphopeptide corresponding to amino acid residues surrounding S191 of mouse FADD.

Antigen
Alternative Name FADD (FADD Antibody Abstract)
Background FADD is an apoptotic adaptor molecule that recruits caspase-8 or caspase-10 to the activated Fas (CD95) or TNFR-1 receptors. The resulting aggregate called the death-inducing signaling complex (DISC) performs caspase-8 proteolytic activation. Active caspase-8 initiates the subsequent cascade of caspases (aspartate-specific cysteine proteases) mediating apoptosis.Synonyms: FAS-associated death domain protein, FAS-associating death domain-containing protein, GIG3, Growth-inhibiting gene 3 protein, MORT1, Mediator of receptor induced toxicity
Molecular Weight 22960 Da
Gene ID 14082, 10090
UniProt Q61160
Research Area Cancer, Apoptosis/Necrosis
Pathways Apoptosis, TLR Signaling, Activation of Innate immune Response, Positive Regulation of Endopeptidase Activity, Toll-Like Receptors Cascades
