Antigen
Alternative Name Perforin (PRF1 Antibody Abstract)
Background Perforin is a 70 kD cytolytic protein that is expressed in the cytoplasmic granules ofcytotoxic T lymphocytes (CTLs) and natural killer (NK) cells. Perforin is one of the majoreffector molecules used by cytotoxic T cells and NK cells to mediate targeted cell lysis. The dG9 antibody recognizes human and bovine perforin and has been shown to beuseful for flow cytometry, immunoprecipitation, immunohistochemistry, andimmunofluorescence staining.
Gene Symbol: PRF1
Gene ID 5551
Pathways Apoptosis, Caspase Cascade in Apoptosis

Application Notes Each lot of this antibody is quality control tested by immunofluorescent staining with flow cytometric analysis. For immunofluorescent staining, the suggested use of this reagent is: 0.5 microgram per million cells in 100 microliter or 100 microliter of whole blood. Immunohistochemistry-frozen/paraffin. It is recommended that the reagent be titrated for optimal performance for each application.
Recommended dilutions: Immunoprecipitation 1:10-1:500, Immunohistochemistry-Paraffin 1:10-1:500, Immunohistochemistry-Frozen 1:10-1:500, Flow Cytometry < 0.06 µg/10^6 cells, Immunocytochemistry/Immunofluorescence 1:10-1:500, Immunohistochemistry 1:10-1:500

Concentration 0.5 mg/mL
Buffer PBS [pH 7.2], Sodium Azide
Preservative Sodium azide
Precaution of Use WARNING: Reagents contain sodium azide. Sodium azide is very toxic if ingested or inhaled. Avoid contact with skin, eyes, or clothing. Wear eye or face protection when handling. If skin or eye contact occurs, wash with copious amounts of water. If ingested or inhaled, contact a physician immediately. Sodium azide yields toxic hydrazoic acid under acidic conditions. Dilute azide-containing compounds in running water before discarding to avoid accumulation of potentially explosive deposits in lead or copper plumbing.
Handling Advice Do not freeze.
Storage 4 °C
