Description	ABCE1 is a member of the ABC Transporter superfamily, although it is not a membrane transporter. It is cytosolically expressed and inhibits the RNaseL protein. Recently, it has been found to be essential for the assembly of immature immunodeficiency virus capsids.

Specificity	Is specific for ABCE1 protein.

Application Notes	For WB: Use at a dilution of 1:250-1:1,000 (ECL). May be used for Western Blot where a band at ~68 kD is seen on SDS-PAGE. Not tested in other applications. Optimal dilutions/concentrations should be determined by the researcher.
