| Specificity | For characterization of different stages of infection and very useful for the analysis of the AAV assembly process. ADK5a specifically reacts with intact adeno-associated virus particles, empty and full capsids. Recognizes a conformational epitope of assembled capsids, not present in denatured capsid proteins and native but unassembled capsid proteins. The antibody cannot be used for immunoblotting. Reacts with AAV-5, found in human and monkey. |

| Application Notes | Immunofluorescence microscopy. Immunohistochemistry. Immunoprecipitation. Neutralization assay. Affinity chromatography. ELISA. Positive control: Cell line MCF-7, human small intestine. Dilution buffer: PBS or Tris-buffered saline. Working dilution: After reconstitution with 1 ml dist. water, 1:20 for immunofluorescence microscopy 1:5 for immunoprecipitation. Incubation time: Overnight at 2-8°C for use in immunohistochemistry or immunofluorescence microscopy. Other applications not tested. Optimal dilutions of this antibody are dependent on conditions and should be determined by the user. |
| Buffer | This antibody is supplied as lyophilised, Protein A affinity purified IgG. After reconstitution with 1 ml dist. Water solution contains 0.09% sodium azide and 0.5% BSA in PBS. |
