Antigen E. coli (HB101)
Immunogen E. coli expression strain HB101, whole protein lysate
Antibody Type Polyclonal
Format Liquid
Description Determination of contaminating HB101 proteins in protein expression experiments, especially upon affinity purification of the target protein. The antiserum reacts strong and specific with HB101 proteins in Western Blotts and in ELISA applications.
Host Rabbit

Application Western Blotting (WB), ELISA
Format Liquid
Purification This antibody was produced by ProteinA/G dependent affinity chromatography of positive sera subsequently to immunization of NZW rabbits with E.coli expression strain HB101 whole cell lysate. The purity of antibody fractions was determined by Coomassie staining upon SDS-PAGE. Functional analysis of the purified antibody revealed strong and specific reactivity against HB101 proteins by Western Blotting and ELISA.
Buffer TBS
Storage At least 18 months when stored at –24°C. At least 4 weeks at 4°C when stored properly.
Research Area Bacteria
Restrictions For Research Use only

Determination of residual HB101 proteins upon affinity purification by Western Blot. A protein sample of a affinity purified 40kD His-tag protein expressed in the HB101 expression strain (A) was resolved by SDS-PAGE and subsequently transferred to PVDF membrane. The target protein was determined by antiHIS-tag in combination with Anti-E.coli (HB101) antibody followed by Anti-Rabbit-HRP and colorimetric detection. The residual HB101 proteins are clearly visible in the purified fraction. The numbers shown on the right represent marks of the protein standard used in the experiment.
