Specificity ICAD (Inhibitor of Caspase-Activated Dnase) is the murine homologue of human DFF-45. ICAD is cleaved by Caspase-3, releasing CAD which eventually causes degradation of DNA in the nucleus. This antibody recognises a 45kD band in Western blots.
