| Description | Extracellular stimuli such as growth factors and UV irradiation stimulate phosphorylation of c-Jun at Ser63/73 and activate c-Jun dependent transcription. Mutation at Ser63/73 renders c-Jun non-responsive to mitogenic and stress induced signaling pathways. JNK (c-jun N-terminal Kinase) binds to the N-terminal region of c-Jun and phosphorylates c-Jun at Ser63/73. The activity of JNK is stimulated by the same signals that activate c-Jun. |
| Host | Rabbit |
| Specificity | Recognizes c-Jun in samples of human, mouse, and rat origin. The antibody only recognizes c-Jun, and will not detect the endogenous levels of Jun B or Jun D. |
Application Details: Jun (Human) antibody
| Application | Western Blotting (WB), Immunohistochemistry (IHC) |
| Application Notes | The antibody can be used for Western blot analysis (1 µg/ml) and immunohistochemistry (20-40 µg/ml). However, the optimal conditions should be determined individually. |
