| Description | NKX3A is a member of the NK3 homeobox family and has several isoforms. It is a putative transcription factor and may act as a transcriptional repressor that exhibits prostate and testis specific expression. It may play a role in proliferation of glandular epithelium and in formation of ducts in the prostate. NKX3A is regulated by androgens and estrogen in the prostate cancer cell line LNCaP. |

| Application Notes | IHC: Use at a dilution of 1/200-1/1000. WB: Use at a dilution of 1/200-1/1000. Detects a band of approximately 21.6-26.3 kDa. Preparation InstructionsMethod 1 for immunostaining and immunoblotting (Western blot): Remove a fixed amount of suspension and dissolve 1/5 in PBS or TBS to yield a 0.1 mg/ml solution. Method 2 for immunoprecipitation, supershift, immunostaining and immunoblotting (Western blot): Pellet antibodies. Remove supernatant. Dissolve the pellet in 50ul of PBS (or TBS) at final concentration of 1 mg/ml. Do not allow the pellet to dry. Do not vortex. Not tested in other applications. Optimal dilutions/concentrations should be determined by the end user. |
