| Specificity | ABIN120017 is specific for Cathspsin B, a lysosomal protease expressed in a wide range of tissues, including liver, skeletal muscle and heart. Cathepsin B plays a role in protein degradation and has also been shown to activate urokinase type plasminogen activator (uPA) and certain matrix metalloproteinases (MMPs). |

| Application Notes | Immunohistochemistry on paraffin sections (diluted 1/40- 1/80). Not suitable for Immunohistochemistry on frozen sections and Western Blotting. Other applications not tested. Optimal dilutions of this antibody are dependent on conditions and should be determined by the user. |
| Buffer | This antibody is supplied as lyophilised tissue culture supernatant containing 0.09% Sodium Azide as preservative. Reconstitute with 1 ml distilled water. |
| Storage | Store the antibody prior to reconstitution at 4°C, following reconstitution at 4-8°C for one month or at –20°C for longer. Store undiluted. Avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Should this product contain a precipitate we recommend microcentrifugation before use. Shelf life: one year from despatch. |
