| Description | More than 99% of the vertebrate ocular lens is comprised of terminally differentiated lens fiber cells. Two lens-specific intermediate filament-like proteins, CP49 (also known as phakinin) and filensin (or CP115), are expressed only after fiber cell differentiation has begun. Both proteins are found in a structurally unique cytoskeletal element that is referred to as the beaded filament (BF). |

Application Details: Filensin (Human) antibody
| Application | Immunofluorescence (IF), Western Blotting (WB) |
| Application Notes | IF: Use at an assay dependent dilution. WB: Use at an assay dependent dilution. Detects a band of approximately 115 kDa (full length filensin) and a band of approximately 53 kDa (processed filensin fragment). It also reacts with a variety of breakdown products of filensin in the range of 28-69 kDa. Not tested in other applications. Optimal dilutions/concentrations should be determined by the end user. |
