| Specificity | The molecular weight of the recognized antigen is 105kDa. Member of the tumor necrosis factor receptor (TNFR)/nerve growth factor receptor (NGFR) superfamily (1-3). In normal lymphoid tissues, CD30 (also known as Ki-1 antigen) is expressed on a few extrafollicular activated T and B blasts and B blasts located at the rim of germinal center (1,2). This antigen is absent from peripheral blood cells and bone marrow cells of healthy donors. In vitro, CD30 expression is induced on lectine-stimulated T-cell, B-cell blast and on mixed lymphocyte culture (MLC) suggesting an activated lymphoid cells expression feature (2,3). Recent studies suggest that expression of CD30 reflects a selective differentiation and/or activation pathway on T cells producing Th2-type cytokines. |
Application Details: CD30 (Human) antibody
| Application Notes | Immunoprecipitation Fluorescence microscopy or flow cytometry: 2µg/5x105 cells/test or 100µl of whole blood. Immunohistochemistry: Working dilution: 1:50-1:100. Suitable on fixed, paraffin-embedded tissue sections. Studies of functional characteristics of lymphoid cells activation. Each laboratory should determine an optimum working titer for use in its particular application. Other applications have not been tested but use in such assays should not necessarily be excluded. Reconstitution: Reconstitute with 1ml of distilled water. |
