- Background
- CD337, LY117, NCR3, NKp30, 1C7, MALS,NKp30, along with NKp44 and NKp46, constitute a group of receptors termed "Natural Cytotoxicity Receptors". These receptors play a major role in triggering NK-mediated killing of most tumor cells lines.NKp30 stimulates NK cells cytotoxicity toward neighboring cells producing these ligands. It controls, for instance, NK cells cytotoxicity against tumor cells. Engagement of NCR3 by BAG6 also promotes myeloid dendritic cells (DC) maturation, both through killing DCs that did not acquire a mature phenotype, and inducing the release by NK cells of TNFA and IFNG which promote DC maturation.
- Molecular Weight
- 20 kDa. Due to glycosylation, the protein migrates to 26-40 kDa based on Tris-Bis PAGE result.
