Antigen
Alternative Name B-Raf proto-oncogene (BRAF Antibody Abstract)
Background B-Raf, also know as c-Rmil, is a Serine/Threonine protein kinase member of the Raffamily which includes Raf-1 and A-Raf. B-Raf is involved in the transduction of mitogenicsignals from the cell membrane to the nucleus (1). Composed of three conserved region(CR1, CR2, CR3) B-Raf is expressed primarily in the brain and in the nervous system(2). It has been observed that MAPK is activated by B-Raf in response to nerve growthfactor (3). More than 60% of malignant melanomas were found to contain a specificmutation, B-Raf (V599E) the product of which possesses constitutive kinase activity (4).Mutations in B-Raf have also been identified in lung cancer and non-Hodgkinlymphoma. Alternate Names: anti-94 kDa B raf protein antibody, anti-B raf 1 antibody, anti-B Raf proto oncogeneserine threonine protein kinase antibody, anti-BRAF 1 antibody, anti-Raf antibody, antiBRAF1 antibody, anti-cRmil antibody, antiMGC126806 antibody, anti-MGC138284antibody, anti-Murine sarcoma viral (v-raf) oncogene homolog B1 antibody, anti-Murinesarcoma viral v raf oncogene homolog B1 antibody, anti-p94 antibody, anti-RAFB 1antibody, anti-RAFB1 antibody, anti-v raf murine sarcoma viral oncogene homolog B1antibody.

Format Liquid
Buffer PBS 49 % , Glycerol 50 % , BSA 0.05 % , Sodium Azide
Preservative Sodium azide
Precaution of Use WARNING: Reagents contain sodium azide. Sodium azide is very toxic if ingested or inhaled. Avoid contact with skin, eyes, or clothing. Wear eye or face protection when handling. If skin or eye contact occurs, wash with copious amounts of water. If ingested or inhaled, contact a physician immediately. Sodium azide yields toxic hydrazoic acid under acidic conditions. Dilute azide-containing compounds in running water before discarding to avoid accumulation of potentially explosive deposits in lead or copper plumbing.
