Target Details TUBB Application Details Handling Images
Specificity Specific for Tubulin beta chain.
Purification Whole serum
Immunogen A synthetic peptide from the c-terminal region of human Tubulin beta chain (TUBB5, TUBB2) conjugated to an immunogenic carrier protein was used as the antigen. The peptide is homologous in many other species including rat, mouse, zebrafish and xenopus.

Antigen
Alternative Name beta Tubulin (TUBB Antibody Abstract)
Background Function: Tubulin is the major constituent of microtubules. It binds two moles of GTP, one at an exchangeable site on the beta chain and one at a non-exchangeable site on the alpha-chain.
Subcellular location: Microtubule
Tissue specificity: Ubiquitously expressed with highest levels in spleen, thymus and immature brain. Also known as: TBB5, Tubulin beta-5 chain, TUBB, TUBB5, Tubulin beta-2A chain, TUBB2A, TUBB2, Tubulin beta-2B chain, Tubulin beta-2C chain.
Research Area Signaling, Cytoskeleton
Pathways Microtubule Dynamics
