P-Glycoprotein (MDR-1, ABCB1) belongs to the group of Multidrug Resistant Proteins. These proteins impede the absorption of drugs and promote the resistance against anti-cancer drugs. For detecting P-Glycoprotein (MDR-1, ABCB1) this monoclonal anti-P-Glycoprotein antibody (Clone MRK16) is being used increasingly: anti-Human P-Glycoprotein antibody (ABIN187222). The antibody has been tested in flow cytometry, in immunohistochemistry with frozen sections and in immunofluorescence.
