The research in the human plasmatic proteins field expands very rapidly. The technical challenge to analyze this proteome stems from the large quantity of plasmatic proteins. Some proteins are highly abundant, such as Human Serum Albumin (HSA), and prevent the detection of rare proteins. The depletion of HSA, by an anti-HSA antibodies, allows the detection of such rare proteins which could be medicinal targets or biological markers. This »anti-HSA antibody may be coupled to magnetic beads to be used in blood research for the depletion of HSA by applying magnetism.
